PURPOSE: To easily rewrite information in a memory by using a memory card and to improve the practicaly use of the equipment in a compact equipment capable of connecting the memory card.

CONSTITUTION: When a memory card is connected to a memory card slot (S1), whether the memory card is a card storing an application program or not is judged (S2). When the memory card does not store the application program, whether a RAM is present on the memory card or not is judged (S3), and when the RAM is present, whether information for rewriting the information of a flash memory is stored in the RAM or not is judged (S4). At the time of confirming the storage of the information in the RAM, writing voltage is turned on, displaying voltage is turned off (S5), information in the flash memory is cleared (S6), and the information is written in the flash memory (S7).
