Title:
METHOD FOR ROLLING STEEL STRIP TO BE ROLLED HAVING SHEET SIZE CHANGING POINT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0732020
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate defective shapes of steel strip caused on the timing adjustment of relative movement of a sheet size changing point and working rolls with upper and lower one side tapers in a case of continuous rolling the steel strip of differential sheet size of sheet thickness, sheet width, etc., with the working roll with one side taper.

CONSTITUTION: In a rolling method of a steel strip having sheet size changing points where working rolls with single side taper having a taper of tapering-off at single side and parts of mutually opposing directions against the axial line direction are arranged up and down, and the sheet size changing point is adjusted by respectively moving the single side tapered working rolls to the reverse directions to the respective axial line directions, the adjustment is execute so that an intermediate point of movement timing of the axial line direction of working roll with one side taper for changing sheet size is made almost at the sheet size changing point. In a case to apply continuously rolling a preceding steel strip and a following steel strip with differential sheet width or thickness, defective shapes formed during relatively moving of rolls respectively generating at forth and rear ends of the preceding steel strip and the following steel strip can be received within the range usually blocked in next process.
