To provide a method of rolling a wide-flange shape steel with various cut surfaces capable of regulating the web height thereof and to keep web height in a series constant without bringing about defective form.
When a break-down rolled raw steel is roughly rolled, by changing relatively the upside and down side positions at an axis direction of horizontal roller 2 and setting a roll clearance between vertical roller 3 and that of roller 2 wider than the thickness of a flange before the final pass during the rough rolling and press down the web only by an universal roughing-down mill at the final-pass. It is desirable to make the space between the vertical roll 3 and the side of roll 2, broader than the thickness of a flange at the time of final press rolling by the universal roller.
