To improve the efficiency of a method for searching a buried object by using a water pressure.
Plural searching rods 24 are arranged at the outside edge of a range to be searched. Injection nozzles 26 are mounted at the front ends of the searching rods 24 to enable the injection of the high-pressure water supplied from a high-pressure pump 6. Supply pipes 16 are drawn out of a high- pressure tank 14 to enable the supply of the high-pressure water to the searching rods 24 via solenoid valves 18. When a searching machine 10 constituted in such a manner is operated, the solenoid valves 18 are successively changed over by a sequencer 22 and the high-pressure water is supplied to the individual searching rods 24. The high-pressure water is then injected from the injection nozzles 26. Soil is pulverized and excavation is progressed by the injected high- pressure water. Even if a buried object exists under the ground, the high-pressure water is used for the excavation and, therefore, the search without damaging the buried object is made possible.
