Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for searching cell with which the power consumption of a mobile station can be reduced.
SOLUTION: After being averaged within an averaging time T1 in a first stage, slot boundary detection is performed (step S301). Then second- and third- stage operations are carried out serially, similarly to the conventional example (steps S303 and S305), but the averaging performed in the first stage is performed continuously, in parallel with the operations (step S309). In the step S309, a mean correlation value is calculated by further carrying out averaging, by using the mean correlative value calculated in the first stage, after averaging the correlative values between slots in an averaging time T1'.
