Abstract:
To reduce the waste of memory associated with fonts on the printer side.
In a provided method, use conditions for a font to be used in a CAD program 26 are described in an XML text. A glyph conforming to the use conditions corresponding to a written language that is used in the CAD program is generated by a glyph generation module 28. If a corresponding glyph does not exist in a font family, a default glyph specified by the XML text is used in the CAD program. Furthermore, glyphs of different written languages can be displayed side by side.
