PURPOSE: To improve the data selection efficiency of a computer system which selects data to be processed in a data list display by enabling the data to be selected at plural positions by range specification.

CONSTITUTION: A list display means 201 displays data, read out of a data storage device 202, on a display 203 and instructs of the range specification and selection determination of the data to be selected with a keyboard or mouse input means 204. Once the selection is determined, the data are stored in a selected data storage means 206. For data to be selected, the range specification and selection determination are repeatedly indicated. Once a selection end deciding means judges that the data selection is completed, a process executing means 208 processes the selected data.
