Abstract:
To provide a method for the stereoselective synthesis of a nonnatural halogenated sugar expressed by general formula (1).
The method for the selective production of the α-isomer or the β-isomer of a nonnatural halogenated sugar comprises the stirring of an anomer mixture of the nonnatural halogenated sugar of general formula (1) (X and Y are each independently O or S; Z is a halogen atom; and W is a protecting group of hydroxy group) in the presence of a halogenation agent while keeping the suspended state.
