PURPOSE: To facilitate the removal of water or an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid which has been difficult to separate according to a conventional separating method and enable the recovery of a solvent used as an azeotropic removing agent or a solvent added for crystallizing, recrystallizing or reslurrying at a high recovery ratio.
CONSTITUTION: This method for separating an N,O-dialkylhydroxylamine hydrochloride is characterized by (1) adding benzene or an alkyl group-substituted benzene to an aqueous solution containing the N,O-dialkylhydroxylamine hydrochloride, removing water or an aqueous solution of the hydrochloric acid by the azeotropy and then (2) adding an alcohol and obtaining the N,O- dialkylhydroxylamine hydrochloride as a crystal.
