PURPOSE: To efficiently and automatically separate and remove trash from fresh laver by mixing fresh laver with a salt water at a concentration hardly entangling fresh laver with trash and passing the mixed liquid through a trash separator having a specific filtering part.

CONSTITUTION: A trash separating apparatus consists of a salt water feeder, a laver preparing machine for preparing a mixture of a salt water with laver in a concentration hardly entangling the fresh laver with trash, a trash separator for separating trash from the prepared liquid by passing the liquid through chambers R1 and R2 provided by being divided with a tank body 1 and a trash separating means which devides the interior of the tank body 1, liquid passing- through ports 109 and 119 for feeding and discharging the prepared liquid, a filtering part 240 of a trash separating machine capable of passing the mixed liquid of fresh laver and salt water but incapable of passing trash having a size larger than a required size, and a water draining machine for separating the mixed liquid into laver and salt water.
