To provide a method for precisely setting a secondary cooling facility etc., in a continuous casting for short time at the construction-site, when the secondary cooling facility etc., in a continuous casting, is set.
In a method for setting the cooling facility having the plurality of lined nozzle groups in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction to the nozzle which spouts two fluids of gas and liquid and has an orifice for adjusting the flowing rate in the flowing passage at the gas side and the flowing rate control system for controlling the gas and liquid flowing rates into the nozzle; before setting the facility to the construction-site to set this facility, a facility at the downstream side from the above flowing rate control system is beforehand set in off-line so as to be at least the same relative position in the height direction of the nozzle as the facility to be set at the construction-site and the diameter of the orifice is set so that the liquid quantity of each nozzle becomes a desired quantity. Thereafter, the pressures of gas and liquid in a piping after setting the flow rate control system when the nozzle spouts, are beforehand measured, and after setting this facility at the construction-site, the pressures of the gas and the liquid in the piping are measured, and these pressures and the pressures of the gas and the liquid in the off-line, are compared.
