Title:
METHOD FOR SETTING CRIMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002227072
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for setting crimps, comprising using a general thermosetting synthetic fiber fabric especially not exhibiting a heat-shrinking property as one of two fabrics in a process for laminating the fabrics and thermally shrinking one of the fabrics to form a wrinkle pattern on the other fabric.

This method for setting the crimps is characterized by partially adhering two fabrics comprising a sacrificed fabric 11 consisting mainly of thermoplastic synthetic fibers and a fabric 12 to be processed with an adhesive 14 to form the double fabric 13, irradiating the side of the sacrificed fabric 11 with infrared light 18 to thermally shrink the sacrificed fabric 11 and simultaneously develop wrinkles corresponding to the thermal shrinkage on the fabric 12 to be processed, setting the wrinkles, and then separating the double fabric 13 into the original two fabrics 11, 12, thereby producing the fabric 12 to which the winkle pattern is set.
