Abstract:
To provide a start-up method of an autoclave capable of smoothly starting-up an autoclave to shift to a steady operation stably.SOLUTION: A start-up method of an autoclave performs a pressure leaching process by blowing high-pressure air into a mixed slurry containing a pulverized nickel mat and a pulverized elemental sulfur preferably at a mixing ratio of the elemental sulfur 160 kg/ton per the nickel mat 1 ton and a slurry concentration of 100-400 g/L. After the mixed slurry is charged to the autoclave without preliminary temperature rising, the high-pressure air is blown into the autoclave at least within 8 hours from pulverization of the elemental sulfur.SELECTED DRAWING: None
