Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a rust preventing method of a ferrous structural body such as a vehicle body which can improve the rust preventiveness on the inner wall surface of a chamber which is in an almost closed condition.
CONSTITUTION: When a defective weld M is caused in a sub frame 1 constituting a vehicle body, and water 6 enters a chamber 2 of ferrous tubes 11-14 constituting the sub frame 1 from the defectively welded part to cause corrosion in the chamber 2. Corrosion in the chamber 2 is suppressed by sealing zinc powder particles 7 whose inonization tendency is higher than iron in the chamber 2 to perform the sacrifice anode function by the zinc powder particles 7 in the chamber 2. In addition, oil is sealed in the chamber 2, and the corrosion resistance is further improved, and the damping function by the oil can be expected, and production of noise can also be prevented.
