Abstract:
To accurately measure the amount of wear of a tread.SOLUTION: A method disclosed herein relates to a tire 10 comprising a tread 34 having a contact patch continuously extending in the circumferential direction along an outer periphery thereof, a magnetic material 12 arranged inside the tread 34, and a magnetic sensor 13 disposed to detect magnetic flux density originating from the magnetic material 12. The method disclosed herein comprises acquiring the amount of wear of the tread 34 on the basis of an output value of the magnetic sensor 13 generated when the tire 10 is continuously stationary for a predetermined period of time, and a correlation between the output value of the magnetic sensor 13 and the amount of wear of the tread 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
