The advertisement distribution system 1 receives advertisement information including an article name to be advertised, an advertisement area, advertisement time, and advertisement contents sent from a terminal of an advertisement distributor through the Internet 7 and stores it in an advertisement information database 11, and receives desire information including an article name, an advertisement area, and advertisement time that an advertisement recipient desires from a terminal 5 of the advertisement recipient through the Internet 7 and stores it in a desire information database 13. Then the system extracts the desire information from the desire information database, performs retrieval from the advertisement information database according to the extracted desire information to obtain advertisement information corresponding to the desire information, and sends the information to the advertisement recipient's terminal 5 through the Internet 7.
