Abstract:
To provide a method and system for controlling excessive addition of a slime control agent, which can inhibit slime generation by microorganisms proliferated in papermaking white water system for saving labor and cost, in replenishment of medical agent.
In this method, a white water based water quality dissolved oxygen sensor 25c detects the dissolved oxygen concentration in the papermaking white water basis, and then predicts the possibility of slime generation, based on the detection result to determine an additive amount of the slime control agent to the papermaking white water basis for inhibiting slime generation, depending on the level of the possibility.
