Abstract:

To provide a method and a system for deriving a cardiac rate of a fetus without using electrocardiogram which can expand an NSP technique for the purpose of deriving, displaying, or using a cardiac rate without requiring an electronic diagram in a condition other than 3D imaging of the heart of a fetus and further aim at the expanding of the NSP technique so as to act on data other than a B-mode slice of 2D obtaining 3D which is especially useful in a non-cardiac test wherein almost no cardiac cycle motion exists in a B-mode image and an electrocardiogram is rarely used.

A system and a method to determine a cardiac rate of a fetus from ultrasonic imaging data at near-real time are provided. A cardiac rate is determined by analyzing a space point on an ultrasonic cardiac volume and calculating a peak spectrum frequency of variation in ultrasonic characteristics of a space point.
