Abstract:
To provide a method for localizing an object region in a medium in which cavitation occurs.SOLUTION: The localization method comprises the steps of: producing cavitation in an object region R, the cavitation generating acoustic signals; at each of at least three separate positions, detecting cavitation signals representative of the acoustic signals of the cavitation; for at least two pairs of cavitation signals, determining a delay between the cavitation signals of each pair of the cavitation signals; and calculating a localization of the object region based on the delays and the positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
