To provide a method and a system for preparing and administering image slices of variable thickness, and to improve a tomosynthesis imaging technique.
The method for preparing a slice (125) of variable thickness to display an image object (120) is provided, which comprises a process to collect a plurality of projected images from a plurality of different angles of projection within a prescribed sweep angle range, a process to reconstruct a plurality of object images (121) having first slice thicknesses (126) respectively from the plurality of projected images, and a process to combine the image (121) by using a whole, part, or property of the plurality of projected images, the plurality of object images (121), or both of them and to apply a function rule for providing a display of an object (120) using a second slice thickness (125) different from the first slice thickness (126).
