PURPOSE: To conduct automatic talking test to an exchange by providing a means transmitting/receiving mutually a subscriber number of a destination to a pseudo terminal device for both incoming and outgoing sides so as to confirm the talking destination.

CONSTITUTION: An outgoing telephone terminal set 2 and an incoming telephone terminal set 3 connected to a telephone exchange 1 via subscriber lines 4,5. An exchange automatic verification device 6 conducting the function test of the exchange 1 is incorporated with an outgoing telephone set pseudo control terminal 7, an incoming telephone set pseudo control terminal 8 and a controller 9. In conducting the function test of the exchange 1, the terminal 7 applies a pseudo call corresponding to the telephone set 2, receives the response signal of the exchange 1 thereto, the result is inputted to the controller 9 to confirm the normality of the connection sequence. Further, the terminal 8 is controlled similarly even to the incoming call. When both the terminal 7, 8 are in talking state, the controller 9 makes the terminal 7, 8 transmit a telephone number to a channel so as to confirm the normality of the destination received by the terminal 7, 8.
