Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve qualities of a video controller and a product incorporated with the video controller and to reduce a required effort and cost.
SOLUTION: This video synchronization testing method comprises: a process for constructing a display mode table in order to determine a standard clock rate that corresponds to horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals (202); a process for setting, by the video controller, a monitor in a display mode instructed by a mode pointer (204); a process for acquiring a clock rate of the horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals of the monitor (205); a process for comparing the acquired clock rate of the horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals with a standard clock rate (206); a process for making the mode pointer instruct the next display mode when the acquired clock rate of the horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals is equal to the standard clock rate (209); and a process for finishing the testing method (208) when all display modes are tested (210). The qualities of the video controller and the product incorporated with the video controller are improved, and the required effort and cost are reduced.
