Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to modify a standard wall cabinet to a wall cabinet accommodating a beam that may be installed on a wall surface avoiding a beam of a structural frame and without damaging the wall cabinet.SOLUTION: A method to modify a wall cabinet comprises the following steps, performed in sequence: a step for removing a left side plate, a right side plate 7, a top plate, a part of a back plate, and a horizontal rail on an upper side from a standard wall cabinet, for forming a space that accommodates a beam H of a structural frame in an upper part behind the standard wall cabinet; a cover fitting step in which a cover is fitted for covering a surface of the removed part of the wall cabinet; a support fixing step in which a support 31 is placed in the corner formed by the back plate, the left side plate, the right side plate 7 or the cover and fixed on an edge on right and left of the wall cabinet, the support serving as a base for fixing the wall cabinet on a wall surface W of the structural frame with a screw; and a spacer installation step in which a spacer 41 is installed for filling a gap between the wall surface of the structural frame and the back plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
