Abstract:
PURPOSE: To transmit also a handshake signal in series in addition to a data signal on a parallel bus.
CONSTITUTION: When a handshake signal is in a high level, a data signal is active, and in the case of a low level handshake signal, the data signal is not active. A handshake signal 111 on a transmitting side bus is sampled for a fixed period, and when the handshake signal is in a high level, a signal D obtained by encoding a data signal on the transmitting side bus is transmitted in series, and in the case of the low level, a code C indicating the handshake signal is transmitted in series. Consequently the handshake signal can be correctly reproduced on the receiving side as shown by 141.
