To transport pellets especially while preventing the mutual adhesion of them by allowing transport air to flow within a cutter case.
A resin material melted and kneaded by a kneading extruder is extruded into a cutter case 4 in a strand like shape from the nozzle of a die 2 and the strand like extrudate is successively cut by a cutter blade 3b to become pellets. Transport air always flows in the cutter case 4 from inflow ports 4b at two places and circulates within the cutter case 4 to flow out of a discharge port 4a. The granulated pellets are scattered within the cutter case 4 to fall and cooled during this period in air by circulated transport air. The pellets are gathered to the lower part of the cutter case 4 and discharged to a transport pipe 13 from the discharge port 4a along with transport air and transported to a storage device while further cooled in the mixed state with transport air within the transport pipe. Transport air flows along the inner surface of the cutter case 4 to cool the same.
