Title:
METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING AND PRESERVING LIVE BAIT FOR FISHING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06269234
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a live bait for fishing by transporting rotifers living in the beach in a live state for a long distance and preserving the rotifers in a relatively long period.

CONSTITUTION: Rotifers are made to spontaneously enter the interior of a pipe utilizing the behavior thereof, transported in their individual housed state and then preserved. Since the rotifers, especially Marphysa sanguinea Montagu rotifer have large, sharp and strong teeth and a strong fighting spirit and the skin is weak, the survival ratio is reduced by fights. Thereby, the congested transport cannot be carried out by a conventional technique and method using sea sand or its substitute as a nest and the long-distance transport is considered as difficult or impossible. According to this method, since the rotifers are in the individual housed state, the disadvantages are not caused. The transport and preservation for a relatively long period can be performed to produce the possibility of the congested preservation which has not hitherto been considered.
