PURPOSE: To surely cut a crossover yarn without cutting an outer yarn in doffing, by admitting a yarn removing guide and heater into the lower end of a spindle, opening the part to exclude the outer yarn, surrounding the lower end of a bobbin with the heater, cutting the crossover yarn by fusion and taking out a full bobbin.
CONSTITUTION: An annular bisected type heater 53 openable and closable in the left and right direction and a yarn removing guide 30, corresponding to the heater and used as a cover together at a position just on the heater are provided on the side of a doffer. After admitting the yarn removing guide and heater into the lower end of a spindle, the heater is opened to exclude an outer yarn connecting from a traveler to a waste spool to the outside. The heater in an opened state is then advanced and transferred to a part just on the waste spool so as to surround the spindle. The heater is subsequently closed to cut the crossover yarn by fusion. The resultant full bobbin is then taken out and the yarn removing guide is raised along the spindle to the upper end thereof.
