Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently decompose a silicone rubber molded product by treating the electroconductive silicone rubber molded product as a waste having high conductivity under nonaqueous solvent conditions not deteriorating electroconductive powder, particularly metallic powder by using an alkali metal alkoxide as a decomposition accelerator.
SOLUTION: This method for treating the electroconductive silicone rubber molded product as the waste is characterized by immersing it which has electroconductive powder dispersed and contained in silicone rubber into a nonaqueous solvent containing the alkali metal alkoxide as the decomposition accelerator and not substantially containing water and treating the immersed product at ≥40°C to decompose the silicone rubber molded product.
