Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a treating method for pressing and crushing fibrous organic waste and capable of obtaining a raw material for raw fertilizers or composts within only several minutes without using any of a fermentation treatment, a heating treatment, etc., and to provide an apparatus for the treating method.
CONSTITUTION: Material to be treated is supplied from a hopper 6, goes into spiral grooves of screw blades and is transferred toward the front end of a casing 5 under spiral rotation. While the material proceeds, it is sheared and crushed by the outer peripheral edges of the screw blades and the angled part of a liner. Further, it is pressed and kneaded by the driving force of the pushing- out screw. Then, the rotation of the material, which is sent to a slider plate 18 by the driving force of the pushing-out screw, is checked by a resisting rod 20. In the checked state, driving force further works on the material. Through these processes, the material is crushed, swollen and softened and it is discharged from an outlet 17.
