Abstract:
To provide a method for treating hydrocarbon oil in which the contents of diene and olefin therein can be reduced even in the case the acquisition of hydrogen is difficult, and a treatment device for hydrocarbon oil.
Hydrocarbon oil comprising at least either diene or olefin and water are contacted with a decomposition catalyst at 375 to 550°C and are decomposed to produce decomposed hydrocarbon oil and hydrogen, next, the hydrogen and the decomposed hydrocarbon oil are contacted with a hydrogenation catalyst at 100 to 374°C, and the hydrogenation reaction of the decomposed hydrocarbon oil is performed to reduce the content of at least either the diene or the olefin.
