PURPOSE: To improve hazardous material removal efficiency and to make the life of electrodes longer and energy consumption lower by passing industrial waste water through the inside of an electrolytic reaction vessel so as to pass the DC activating electrodes thereby treating the waste water and activating the electrodes by DC pulses.
CONSTITUTION: This industrial waste water treatment equipment has an electrolytic cell 2 to which the waste water subjected to a neutralization treatment in a neutralization vessel is supplied. The waste water is treated at the time of passing the DC activated electrodes 6. The DC activated electrodes 6 consist of anode plate bodies and cathode plate bodies which are arranged at specified intervals in a horizontal direction and form meandering waste water flow passages. Curved guide pipes 7 are formed between the parallel surfaces of both electrode plate bodies to guide the waste water flow to the front surfaces of the electrode plate bodies. The one-side surfaces of the electrode plate bodies are provided with curved guide pieces 8. The activation of the electrodes 6 is embodied by the number of pulse repetition up to 800 Hz, more particularly up to 500 Hz. The waste water flow is passed at a high velocity of flow.
