Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the title method with which energy saving can be attained in pyrolytic treatment and productivity and product quality can be improved. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst 17 in particle or lump form is enclosed in a screen 16 through which the catalyst 17 does not substantially pass and the screen 16 is placed in a heating tank 1. A polyolefin 7 is introduced into the tank 1 and heated to 250-500 deg.C to melt it. The molten polymer 7 is brought into contact with the catalyst 17 surrounded by the screen 16 to thereby pyrolyze the polymer 7.
