Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for treatment wherein inoculation of a special decomposition bacillus and acclimation period of an activated sludge are not needed in a biological treatment of a tetramethylammonium hydroxide-contg. waste water wherein one to two months are required for acclimation of a sludge.
CONSTITUTION: After an easily biodegradable carbon source is incorporated in a tetramethylammonium hydroxide-contg. waste water, a treatment with an activated sludge is performed to remove tetramethylammonium ion.
