Abstract:

To efficiently treat waste hydrofluoric acid while restraining generation of sludge and reducing the treating time.

This method is a method for treating waste liquid including hydrofluoric acid and includes: the process 1 of adding unslaked lime (CaO) or slaked lime (Ca(OH)2) to fluorine contained in waste liquid directly or by slurrying for calcium fluoride in equivalents of 1.0-1.5 in terms of amount of calcium; the process 2 of adding caustic soda until pH of a mixture obtained by the process 1 becomes at least 5 to produce slurry including calcium fluoride; and the process 3 of separating the slurry subsequently to the process 2.
