Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method and unit for protective system interconnection of power converter in which the single operation can be detected quickly and positively even under a state where effective power and reactive power are balanced.
CONSTITUTION: A reactive power control circuit 16 controls the amount of reactive power at the interconnection of an inverter 2 and an AC system power supply 7 and a frequency detecting circuit 22 detects the frequency of output voltage from the inverter 2. The detected frequency is converted through a reactive power function circuit 23 into a reference amount of reactive power having predetermined characteristics. It is then added to a steady reactive power by an adder circuit 23 to produce a reactive power reference which is fed to a reactive power control circuit 16.
