Title:
METHOD FOR USING THERMAL RESPONSE OF MAGNETORESISTIVE HEAD AND DEVICE THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3913303
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to extract a restored heat signal which nearly indicates a heat component from the signals read by an MR element and to utilize this signal for removal of unnecessary modulation and a track tracing operation.
SOLUTION: An AE module 24 lowers the heat component among the information signals by high-pass filtering. A reverse filter 156 which is embodied by a IIR filter and has the response nearly reverse from the AE module forms the restored heat signal nearly indicating the heat component of the original information signal from the high-pass filtering signals. A signal adder receives the restored heat signal from the reverse filter and the composite signals including the heat component and the magnetic component from the AE module and mostly removes the heat component of the composite signals.
