PURPOSE: To surely wind a wire/strip body around a long body without generating an edge part rising phenomenon by delivering the spiral wire/strip body from a bobbin while rotating it around the long body to be wound around the long body.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of wire/strip bodies 10, wound on a bobbin, are wound on a long body 34 such as a submarine cable or a flexible compound pipe linked with the bobbins 28 in a twisting machine 30 as shown in the Fig. That is, the long body 34 such as the submarine cable or flexible compound pipe, which is a wound object, is delivered from a delivery bobbin 36 of the unit 34 by mounting a plurality of the bobbins 28 on a cage 32 of the twisting machine 30, and a plurality of the wire/strip bodies 10, delivered from a plurality of the bobbins 28 mounted on the cage 20, are wound around this long body 34 by a twisting base 38. Further in the Fig., a symbol 40 represents a finished long body formed by winding the wire/strip body 10 therearound.
