PURPOSE: To obtain a method for winding only a loosed tape between a tape reel of supplying side and a tape reel of winding side when the power is interrupted during operation of a tape deck in a fast-feeding condition or a rewinding condition.

CONSTITUTION: An abutting part 48a of a lever driving pin 48 which is projectingly formed at a clutch switching lever is made a plane condition for a pin driving guide hole 57c formed at a mode switching board 57. When a power failure is released from a power failure condition in a fast-feeding mode or a rewinding mode, a semi-clutch condition of a driven pulley and a clutch disk is surely realized and a supplying reel 10 is driven by driving torque by which this winding reel 11 does not rotate in a condition in which a soft brake 56 is engaged to a winding reel 11. A loosed tape 78 between the supplying reel 10 and the winding reel 11 is winded to the supplying reel 10.
