To provide a method for shortening the working time when a solid catalyst packed in a reactor is withdrawn and improving the working environment satisfactorily and to provide reaction equipment for solid catalyst from the reactor of which the solid catalyst can be withdrawn easily.
This method for withdrawing the solid catalyst packed in the reactor comprises steps of introducing a low-viscosity liquid into the reactor and withdrawing the solid catalyst together with the introduced low-viscosity liquid. When the solid catalyst packed in the reactor is an ion exchange resin, this method produces a particularly satisfactory result. This reaction equipment 10 for solid catalyst is provided with: the reactor 12 packed with the solid catalyst 11; a low-viscosity liquid introducing pipeline 13 for introducing the low-viscosity liquid into the reactor 12; and a solid catalyst discharging pipeline 14 for discharging the solid catalyst 11 from the reactor 12.
