Abstract:
To provide: a method of collecting a biological fluid sample; and a biological fluid sample collection device that recovers a sample and provides a flow-through blood stabilization technology and a precise sample dispensing function for point-of-care and near patient testing applications.SOLUTION: Provided is a biological fluid sample collection device 10 that includes installing the biological fluid sample collection device 10, connecting the biological fluid sample collection device 10 to another collection device 210 configured to collect a fluid sample from a fluid source, and applying pressure to an activating member to move a sealant 20 from a closed position to an open position to draw the liquid sample into a passage 34, and that controls the discharging of the biological fluid to a point-of-care test device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
