Abstract:
The invention relates to method for screening a fiber suspension (S) using a screening device, in particular a pressurized screen. Said device has at least one screen basket (1) inserted in a housing and enclosing a screen chamber (5). A part of the fiber suspension (S) fed into the screen chamber (5) passes through the screen openings and enters an accepted material chamber (3) as accepted material (A), while a different part of the fiber suspension (S) is deflected at the screen openings as rejected material. In a particularly effective embodiment, a part of the rejected material is thereby fed back into the screen chamber (5) as reject return flow (R'') and once again enters the region of the screen openings. As a further improvement, measures are proposed for homogenizing the flow rate, in particular with respect to the circumference.
