Abstract:
To provide a Mg alloy that has constitutional metals of the Mg alloy as well as Ni dispersed in the Mg alloy, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The inventive method includes the steps of: mixing Mg, Al, Mn and Ni into a mixture; heating the mixture to 720°C or higher into a molten metal; stirring the molten metal into a full lysate; and casting the full lysate. The method allows crystallization of an Al-Mn-Ni intermetallic compound containing Al and Mn as well as Ni and dispersion of Ni in the alloy, resulting in a Mg alloy having improved degradability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
