Abstract:

To make rotatable the tip of an arm on a spherical moving body and enable the arm to move accurately in the specified direction.

A spherical moving body having an arm is rotatably supported, and the arm is operated by rotating the spherical moving body using an ultrasonic vibrator. This micro manipulator is equipped with two phase shifting means 12 and 13 for making phase shift of an AC voltage emitted from an AC power supply 11 and a means 14 to produce an AC voltage vector to be impressed on the ultrasonic vibrator on the basis of the AC voltage phase shifted by the means 12 and 13 and the AC voltage fed from the AC power supply 11.
