Abstract:

To provide a microcapsule obtained by coating a core material having a small mean particle diameter and a narrow particle distribution with a thermosetting resin, and to provide a production method therefor.

A core material in which the mean particle diameter of particles measured by a particle distribution image analysis method is ≤2 μm and the ratio of the particles with a particle diameter of ≤3 μm to the total piece of the particles accounts for ≥60% is coated with a thermosetting resin to compose the microcapsule. Further, an aqueous solution A comprising a core material, a thermosetting resin prepolymer and a surfactant, and an aqueous solution B comprising a setting reaction catalyst pass through a microtube with a inside diameter of ≤1 mm, and are thereafter made to join, and, while it is further allowed to pass through the microtube with an inside diameter of ≤1 mm, the reacted core material is coated with the thermosetting resin, so that the microcapsule is produced.
