PURPOSE: To obviate fatigueing of the eyes owing to directivity and fine bright points and make possible close observation by once recording the images having been magnified and projected from a microfilm on a recording medium by the use of electrophotographic techniques and observing the recorded images.
CONSTITUTION: A microfilm 1 is lighted by a light source lamp 2 and a condenser lens group 3 and the image thereof are formed on the write surface of a display unit 7 by a first mirror 4, projecting lens 5 and second mirror 6. There is a shutter 8 in the optical path. In the display unit 7, a photosensitive belt 23 is put on between two rollers. The photosensitive belt 23 is cleaned with a cleaner 28 and is charged evenly with a charger 24, after which it is stopped at the write surface 29, then the shutter 8 is opened to expose the film images. The images are then developed to visible images with a developing device 25. The belt is stopped at the display surface 30 and the images are observed through a maintenance glass 31. At this time, force is so applied by stabilizing electrodes 26, 27 as to let the toner having been deposited on the belt 23 deposit on the belt, whereby disturbing of the images is prevented.
