PURPOSE: To exceedingly widen the visual field angle of a liquid crystal display so that the display can be observed without any inconveniences at all even when the display is observed by plural persons or its observation angle is limited.
CONSTITUTION: In this microlens array sheet, microunit lenses which function as lenses by holding a first material layer 2 and a second material layer 3 having the refractive index smaller than the refractive index of the first material layer 2 with two parallel planes and forming the boundaries between the first material layer 2 and the second material layer 3 to recessed and/or projecting surface shapes, are arranged in a plane form. The first material layer 2 of such microlens array sheet is colored by a coloring agent. This liquid crystal display is constituted by mounting such sheet on the observation surface of a liquid crystal cell.
