Title:
MICROPOROUS MEMBRANE OF POLYAMIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02180626
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To selectively remove pyrodiene contained in water by fixing a cationic nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound in a polyamide microporous membrane with excellent flowing property.

CONSTITUTION: A polyamide having a repeating unit of [CO(CH2)5NH]n in its molecular structure is used. Since the polyamide resin has a reactive secondary amine and carboxyl group in the end terminals, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound such as a histidine, etc., is fixed through a crosslinking agent such as polyepoxy compounds. A polyamide microporous membrane prepared by the method can remove pyrodiene contained in water selectively and a high flow rate with low pressure is achieved.
