Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micropump device capable of improving detection accuracy of the number of W particles in W/O emulsion.SOLUTION: A micropump device of this invention comprises a W/O emulsion forming part formed by a substrate having a hydrophilic liquid W and a hydrophobic liquid O and having a feature of specific wettability; a micro flow passage part arranged at a downstream side of the W/O emulsion forming part and acting as a flow passage for W/O emulsion; and a pump part for forming W/O emulsion at the W/O emulsion forming part and guiding the W/O emulsion formed at the W/O emulsion forming part to the micro flow passage part. At the W/O emulsion forming part, the hydrophobic liquid O is arranged to be contacted with the hydrophilic liquid W to enclose the hydrophilic liquid W and then the W/O emulsion is formed within the micropump device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
