CONSTITUTION: Arm 16d of level sensing means 16 is opened with a plurality of through holes 16g for inserting a rotary shaft 16b and a clamping pin 16c so as to alter the length of the arm 16d. When material is introduced into a drying chamber 3, it agitates an agitator 15 and levels the upper surface of materials 16 to be dried. In this case, the recessing degree of a center is altered in response to the type of the material 5, and the projection of the periphery is altered that much. Accordingly, since the amount to be sensed by the means 16 is varied, quantitative sensing is always conducted by altering the length of the arm 16d.
