To provide a single-structured intake device with a number of functions in which the length of a port can be changed, by configuring the intake device such that it has a partition which partitions a plurality of intake chambers at one end, and a port with a plurality of intake chambers and open passages at the other end.
A middle part 11 at the ends of an upper part 1 and a lower part 2 has a partition 5, port 9 and wall portion 10. The partition 5 defines an upper intake passage 2 and lower intake passage 4. The port 9 is provided with a three-way passage 6 therein, comprising a passage 7 provided with a hole in the axial direction and a distribution passage 8 interconnected with the passage 7 and provided with a hole in the radial direction. Two open ends of the distribution passage 8 open to the upper intake passage 2 and lower intake passage 4 respectively. Accordingly, by providing an intake device with the variable-length port, the middle part therefor can be obtained for which small number of parts are used and cost reduction is possible.
